5 eye improvement exercises

It is quite important to keep our eyes clear and healthy to have a powerful vision. In this era of tremendous usage of computers and smartphones both at home and work, our eyes fail to function properly.This eventually leads to usage of spectacles and contact lenses that might worsen your eyes over time. Here, a list of exercises are mentioned, that needs to be practiced on a regular basis to enjoy a great vision.

1.Palming


Take a small break from your computers and give your eyes a great deal of relaxation and relief from stress by means of Palming.To do this, all you have to do is, breathe comfortably for a while, lean on a desk with your elbows on your knees and place your hands on your eyes in such a way that the palms cover your eyes, fingers on your forehead and the heel of your hand kept on the cheekbone. Without giving much pressure on your eyes, blink freely for sometime. This will cool them up and will keep them healthy.

2.Focusing


A great relaxation to your eye muscles come from focusing the objects near to them and far away from them. For this, sit or stand comfortably for 3 minutes, place your thumb at about 10 inches from your eyes, and some other object at 10 to 20 feet away from your eyes. At each deep breath, ensure that your focus is switched between the two objects. This is a great exercise to strengthen the eye muscles.

3.Blinking

Blinking is one of the best and well known exercise that is normally ignored, or rather forgotten, by working people and students who are hitched on to their computers and television for longer hours.For first two minutes, blink every 3 to 4 seconds, Now feel how your eyes, whether they are relaxed or strained. Now, try not to blink for next 30 seconds. Your eyes will naturally be tired. This shows the difference.

4.A figure of Eight


Increase the flexibility of your eye muscles by tracing a giant imaginary figure of eight, about 10 feet in front of you. Turn your eyes around the sides of the eight in one way for few minutes, followed by turning it in another way for some time. Its worth trying out this exercise, as it has proved in bringing out great results for your eyes.

5.Zooming


This is another popular exercise that will greatly improvise your vision. For this, all you got to do is sitting in a comfortable position, stretching your arms with the thumb kept in a hitchhike position, focusing on the thumb and then bringing your thumb closer to your face and then focusing on it again. Repeat it for a few minutes at regular intervals and enjoy a long-lived vision.
