Sad-cry more than sad-cringe. But I like that this isn’t about someone desperate for sexual partners.

This makes me sad… I feel all he has is a name to go by. Probably all the info he has. He probably started with asking people who looked liked him or from the same area, but eventually he runs out of names and then he starts asking anyone with that name. The name might not even be real. Maybe his mom didn’t want him looking for that loser dad. Now he’s contacted you… one of his name messages.

I do not mean to pry, but you don’t by any chance happen to have six fingers on your right hand?

I’m going to make a crazy guess and say that the kids name is James.

I feel like this isn’t really sad-cringe. This is just sad. Poor boy. I don’t think it’s possible to not feel bad for the kid. It is a confused 14 year old kid after all.

I did the same shit like ~10 years ago. He actually ended up finding me (everyone I messaged was NOT the father, total coincidence with the timing). We talked every couple months on the phone for a few years, then I never heard from him again right before I moved overseas. I left him a message saying I was moving, and to contact me on FB again so I could give him my new info.

Neither me nor my grandmother he was in contact with ever heard from him again. His phone number was reassigned to someone else. He could be dead for all I know. Then again, I actually don’t care, I got the info I needed out of him (family health history) during our earlier conversations.

Think about this, what if this 14-year old kid trying to find his dad on facebook DID actually find his real dad just his dad be the MASTER of ditching hoes and evasion go like: “mate I am 21 and white”

-oh sorry dude. And that kid will never find out…

Slightly scared that this could happen to me. I still got 12 years though, so no worries.

Even if that guy is his father, it’s not a proper way to start a conversation with that accusing line.
