Very durable Columbia backpack. Bought this 19+ years ago, has been everywhere with me as my sons have grown up, all zippers are still intact and operable, all seams still together, color has only slightly faded despite many trips to the beach. Total workhorse for us.

I don’t recall water bladder (or headphone) slots dating that far back.

Maybe I just have a shitty memory.

I have a Columbia as well! I’m 36 and it’s seen me through high school, college and nowud runs. Looks in perfect shape and all zippers work perfectly.

I have a 2-piece set of Columbia luggage that has been on every trip local and abroad I’ve been on for 17 years. Stuff is rugged and wears like iron. Glad to see this one has done well for you.

My backpack made it 2.5 years of heavy college use. I would zip up the 20+ lb pound bag by lifting the bag by the zippers. I won’t make that mistake again.

Big fan of Columbia gear, took one of their jackets hiking in Patagonia and it served me well. Glad to see you’ve gotten such good use out of that pack.

Meanwhile the backpack I bought off Amazon 1.5 years ago has already begun to erode at the seams.

I still have my Jansport backpack, which I probably got in 2000. It’s got some writing on it but in great shape as well.

This isn’t 19 years old. They didn’t make them with headphones ports.
