I wonder how many of the children are alive and know now. I wonder how many grandchildren know the story of the tragic mystery, and are interested in this. This is so poignant. I wonder if there were any details that can be surmised about their last moments. What a story!

They had to cross a glacier to get to the meadow? I’m a little confused.

This is the best tl;dr I could make, [original](https://amp.theguardian.com/world/2017/jul/18/bodies-of-swiss-couple-missing-for-75-years-found-on-glacier) reduced by 71%. (I’m a bot)

    > The frozen bodies of a Swiss couple who went missing 75 years ago in the Alps have been found on a shrinking glacier, Swiss media said.

    > Valais cantonal police said two bodies bearing identity papers had been discovered last week by a worker on Tsanfleuron glacier near a ski lift above Les Diablerets resort at an altitude of 2,615 metres.

    > "The bodies were lying near each other. It was a man and a woman wearing clothing dating from the period of world war two," Bernhard Tschannen, the director of Glacier 3000, told the paper.

“DNA tests pending” I should point out. It’ll be a bit of a kicker to the daughter if they’re suddenly not her parents.

    >She added: “For the funeral, I won’t wear black. I think that white would be more appropriate. It represents hope, which I never lost.”

White also represents the snow and ice in which they were entombed… I might go with yellow or something.

I’m actually wondering, have the bodies showed the signs of mummification due to dehydration or they’ve just rotted?

Edit: I’m asking this from the paleontologist point of view

They should clone the parents, and let them grow and marry. Then clone their children, exhuming the bodies of the dead ones for DNA, in order to give this family the life together they never had.

This thread is useless without pics. On a more serious note. The article says they may have fallen into a glacial crevasse when going to milk their cows in a meadow. What kind of meadow is it that they have to cross a glacier? How did the cows get their?
