This happened just a few minutes ago.
We’ve changed our parking provider at work and the new payment system is online. It’s not owned or managed by us and I don’t use it, but I’m a helpful lass and don’t like to turn away a upset or confused user.
$U – arrives at my desk looking annoyed – “That new software doesn’t give me my parking charges.”
$me – “There is a statement page, it shows the balances and deductions on your account.”
$U – sarcastic tone- “I can see that, it won’t export so I can add it into my expenses.”
$me – feeling less helpful – “Isn’t there a print or export button? Maybe ask colleague x as they use it. I don’t have parking spot so have never used the system and it’s not managed by us.”
$U – refutes claim that it’s a printable and exportable page and whines about how they need it now, until I walk across to their desk.
$me – looks at screen, looks at user, points at huge yellow button saying *Export to PDF* walks away.
