Any reason you got that drawing specifically tattooed on you vs any other drawing your son might draw? Like it was his first drawing in school or something?

Why did they put the outline around it?

OP, you are a wonderful parent, and your explanation for why you chose this specific drawing is beautiful! Your son is very lucky to have a mother that is so loving and thoughtful. Best of luck to you both!

😀 I got inked by her as well (in the same spot, actually)! She’s a great lady and a swell artist. It kind of reminds me of nightmare before christmas style monsters – I like him!

Kid drawing tattoos are always so precious! My hobby is drawing too, like another person said you should get him photoshop and an art tablet! If he has problems adjusting to digital drawing softwares there’s tons of video guides on YouTube

Love the story behind this OP. Just out of curiosity, why were some of the colors changed around (specifically the chair)? Artistic liberty?

Fucking fantastic shit, I mean, I wouldn’t get it done myself, but the story behind it is remarkable. This is why tattoos are awesome. Personal meaning that others can choose to appreciate.

Don’t listen to the haters. I let my daughters, at the time ages 2 and 4, design my tattoo. They loved doing it and I love how it came out.

Do you know what his inspiration for the drawing was? I honestly really like it, especially how he’s done the colors. I’m glad that you’re nurturing his creativity 🙂

This has always been my idea for a first tattoo- a crude drawing by my little sis. Seeing how great this looks on you has sealed the deal. I’m gonna do it!

I love it. I have my daughter’s name in her own handwriting on the side of my wrist. I had her write her name like 5 times and chose the one i liked best and got it. now i kinda wish i would have picked a drawing of hers instead. oh well NO regurts!
