The problem is that the majority of people aren’t a single, even shade. I used to do coverups professionally (tattoos and skin disorders) and it isn’t as simple as it looks.
It takes forever to blend coverup foundation where it doesn’t look starkly different than the rest of your skin.

At what point is it just considered paint?

You could have just shown people wiping on tatoos with a paper towel and really screwed with us.

I hope they start using this in Porn.

It really takes me out of the story when the virgin babysitter nervously undresses for the first time in front of an older man and I see the “rough rider” tattoo above her shaved muff.

my friend used something similar to cover a big, dark birthmark on her face. it was incredibile because you would expect something like that to be pretty heavy but you could barely say she was wearing any makeup.

she told me it works wonders on scars and acne marks too, and it’s a real life changer for many.

That product is really impressive. I remember a video from a few years ago where a seemingly non-tatted guy just started using a make-up remover on himself, to reveal that he is basically tatted up from head to toe. [Here’s the video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9mIBKifOOQQ)

It is not really makeup but body color used in film studios and sold as a makeup. It was made in studios in Prague in 1960s because other makeups they were using at that time were not good enough. Then they started selling it.

Extremely helpful for actors since having tattoos could be a deal breaker for getting some roles!

What’s the point of having tattoos if you’re just going to cover them up?

Since this wipes off with a paper towel, how much of it will rub off onto your shirt while you’re just walking around?

Or we could just make tattoos socially acceptable? Sounds more fun that way, honestly.

Kind of forces you walk with your arms out unless you want that shit all over your clothes.

They’re calling it waterproof, but showing it coming off when the folks wipe at the water? Or am I missing something?

Would be nice to live in a society where tattoos aren’t stigmatized instead.

Everyone on this thread seems to be mentioning employment as the primary reason for using a tattoo concealer such as this one. However, another reason that people might want to cover up their tattoos is for their family members. My dad gives me a lecture and makes snide comments every time I wear something that shows my tattoos. I have two small ones and he knows about both of them. However, when I have more tattoos, I’ll definitely look into covering them up with some sort of concealer to avoid the endless shit that I will hear from him.
