    I really like this guy..

“I won’t go on and implement all the hiding techniques and put all my cards on the table though, Google will slowly add more and more detections, and I’ll just update Magisk each time something breaks.”

Safetynet is passing and Android Pay working. This guy deserves a medal for his work on this project.

I really like this guy, he seems to be humble, capable and dedicated; I’m grateful for what he’s doing, but…

    >This particular change is still within my expectations; in fact, being the creator of Magisk, I personally have TONS of other ways to detect Magisk, apart from “package name” detection which I currently do not have an optimal solution, I can hide all the other methods (note: I’m no security expert, this is only MY point of view, a university student who can’t stop coding). I won’t go on and implement all the hiding techniques and put all my cards on the table though, Google will slowly add more and more detections, and I’ll just update Magisk each time something breaks. I believe there is still a long way till I run out of ideas

He’s taunting. He’s taunting Google. He’s taunting some of the extremely clever people working at Google.

I don’t know enough about the technological aspects of Magisk and SafetyNet, but that still seems like poking a sleeping dragon.

The New magisk manager launch is resulting in an ANR for me. Anybody having the same problem?

I really really like the new flashing log screen when you upgrade 😀

That and passing safetynet 😉 This guy should get a lot of medals!

inb4 Google hires him or patches SafetyNet permanently somehow. I’m so sick of this SafetyNet stupidity and the instability of root in general on iOS and Android. We have easy root access on our computers, so why not our smartphones? It’s hypocritical to not allow straightforward access to it on Android. I understand iOS since it was always a walled garden, but Android? Luckily only one of the apps I use depends on passing SafetyNet. I fear a future where all of them will.

Huh. I’m still getting a cts profile mismatch with the new version, even in core-only mode.
    I’m on a Galaxy S8 G950F.

Nice work, I’m running a OnePlus One and it’s hilariously broken in Android Pay without using a Magisk module that fixes the firmware.

I’m currently on superSU. I’m eventually going to flash a new ROM and flash magisk because it seems better. If I don’t care about safetynet being detected, would I need to update safetynet each time google patches it?

I don’t play any of those games that SN detects, my netflix doesn’t seem to care that i’m rooted, and I don’t use android pay

I love the Magisk developer. Gonna be donating after I get home from work. (I’d do it now but I have no idea what my PayPal password is. It’s locked away in KeePass.)

For a few more days until Google updates again. There is no end-all fix to this.

Are they using the same method as the other xda app that cleared some safetynet blobs?
