A 15.5 lead in the division, 10 games over the next second best AL record, could be worse

Lineup out for today. Marwin at short (not Bregman) as expected.

    Thank god we have Marwin.

[Edit: Astros reporter says Hinch has said that both Bregman and Marwin will spend time at shortstop](https://twitter.com/JuliaMorales/status/887423234542522368)

First they came for Thor, and I did not speak out because I am not a Mets fan.

Then they came for Adam Eaton, and I did not speak out because I am not a Nats fan.

Then they came for Mike Trout, and I did not speak out because I am not an Angels fan.

Then they came for Correa…and there was no one left to speak “he the real MVP”

    > Sources confirm: Correa to undergo surgery to repair torn ligament in left thumb. Trout missed 7 1/2 weeks after same procedure.

Bregman conspiring to take over at SS, his true position. Correa was good at 3B in the WBC, I saw him in person; I wonder if this injury will lead to the positional swap everyone’s been wondering about.

Seriously though, this sucks for him, but the same surgery for Trout and Simmons went fine. The Astros’ lead is still fucking massive. 🙁

Was worried about this, my buddy works at a Houston area hospital and texted me saying that Correa walked in wearing a cast on his hand…I was hoping it was just precautionary but was expecting the worst.

    Get better soon brother.

Lucky for Houston they got the division wrapped up, or else all these injuries would have sunk their season.

  38. VStarffin

    July 18, 2017 at 11:56 pm

While this won’t hurt HOU’s regular season position, I think it really hurts their chances to edge out the Dodgers for best overall record, which matters now if they meet in the WS. Sucks for them.
